Driving PET Recycling Awareness at CSR Labour Fun Run 2026

FE GREEN PET (M) SDN BHD, together with PET FAR EASTERN (M) SDN BHD, participated in the CSR Labour Fun Run 2026, organized by the Johor Labour Department on 20 June 2026. The event provided an opportunity to engage with the local community while promoting sustainability, circular economy practices, and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Held at Hutan Bandar, Bandar Putra, Kulai, the event attracted over 800 participants and promoted the values of healthy living, community engagement, and environmental responsibility. As part of the event, both companies jointly hosted a PET recycling awareness booth to educate the public on the importance of plastic recycling and the role of PET in a circular economy.

Visitors had the opportunity to learn about the PET recycling journey—from collection and sorting to recycling and the production of new materials. The booth also showcased products made from recycled PET, demonstrating how post-consumer plastic bottles can be transformed into valuable resources through recycling and resource recovery.

To encourage public participation, a “Recycle PET Bottles for Gifts” campaign was organized, allowing visitors to exchange collected PET bottles for small gifts. The initiative received an enthusiastic response and helped raise awareness of responsible waste management practices.

Throughout the event, approximately 5.2 kilograms of PET bottles were collected and will be processed through FE GREEN PET’s recycling operations, supporting a closed-loop recycling model and reinforcing the value of a circular economy.

In addition to environmental outreach activities, representatives from both companies joined the 5-kilometer fun run and community clean-up efforts, assisting with the collection and sorting of discarded plastic bottles within the park area. These activities reflected a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement.
